In this episode of The WB Download, host Jeff Wieland welcomes Carrie Barker, founder of Caroline on Design, to share her unique journey from homeowner to expert guide in the custom home building planning process. Based in Champaign, Illinois, Carrie turned her personal experience of building her own home into an empowering online platform that helps others confidently plan the design and find a builder to build their custom home.

Carrie introduces her signature program, Before You Build, which equips future homeowners with the tools to clarify their vision, choose the right builder, and build a realistic budget. She and Jeff discuss the growing need for guidance in the planning of a custom home and the power of planning to prevent surprises and stress.
